A 20-minute chicken parmesan

Ingredients

Boneless and skinless
-chicken breast halves
1
egg, slightly beaten
8
tbsp
Seasoned bread crumbs
2
tbsp
butter or margarine
1 3/4
cup
Spaghetti sauce
8
tbsp
shredded mozzarella cheese
1
tbsp
grated Parmesan cheese
4
tbsp
Chopped fresh parsley
 
Procedure
 
1. Using palm of hand flatten chicken to even thickness.
2. Dip chicken into egg then into crumbs to coat.
3. In skillet over medium heat, in hot margarine, brown chicken on both sides.
4. Add sauce.
5. Reduce heat.
6. Cover; simmer 10 minutes.
7. Sprinkle with cheeses and parsley.
8. Cover; simmer 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
9. Makes 4 servings

sounds like it is very tasty..i like the idea there is not a whole lot of ingredients and yet it seems it will fill a big family up.

Very effective procedure, delicious outcome, presentation marvelous, but one minor point of contention. Procedure Step Number 4 should be located where Procedure Step Number 5 is located.

Not a bad recipe at all! I ain't no cook; but the results were not bad! Just make sure not to use too much cheese or margarine; mine turned out /a bit/ too salty. But, really, the taste and texture is really really good! Give it a shot!

sounds good..pre-pkgd.spag.sauce bad for high b.p.which I have.
