  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1.25 cup Whole wheat pastry flour
  • 3 tbsp salad oil
  • 1.5 tbsp ice water
  • 6 -- Apple
  • 5.28 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Whole wheat flour
  • 0.5 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar cheese
Crust: Cut butter into flour.
Add oil slowly and continue mixing until dough is crumbly.
Slowly add ice water, adding only enough to make mixture form soft ball.
Roll dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle.
Place in 9-inch pie pan, turn under edges and crimp or flute.
Filling: Combine apples with all ingredients except cheese.
Place one-half of apple mixture in prepared pie crust.
Sprinkle with ½ cup grated cheese.
Repeat layers.
Bake at 400[ 10 minutes, reduce heat to 325[ and bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until apples are tender.
